Dear Publisher,
The Louisiana Affiliate of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (LaTESOL) will host its annual conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Friday October 17, 2008. The theme of the conference this year is A Community of Learners with notable speakers in English as a Second Language.
We would like to invite you to exhibit your materials at the conference, which will be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As with all educational conferences hosted by LaTESOL, the publishers’ exhibit plays an integral part in the overall success of the event. Therefore, we hope you will plan to participate in this year’s event.
We are planning on a full day on Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The publishers will be prominently displayed adjacent to the meeting rooms where attendee traffic will be constant. We are expecting approximately 200 attendees, educators and administrators from a variety of areas, including elementary, secondary, and higher education, as well as adult education, refugee, and teacher training programs.
Should you be interested in displaying your bilingual, ESL, and Theoretical/applied linguistics materials at this conference, a special package price of $200 will provide each publisher with the following:
- One 8’ X 2’ table in the main entrance hall
- Your company name displayed in the conference program
- Complimentary lunch for one
- Complimentary conference registration for one
Publishers’ participation will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline to reserve exhibit space is October 1, 2008.
In addition to inviting you to display your materials, we would like to encourage you to contribute books and/or other materials to be used as prizes or items to be included in conference registration bags, such as pencils, pads, and other useful materials. In previous years exhibitors have very graciously sponsored coffee and pastries in the publishers’ area in the morning as well as a reception or coffee break in the afternoon. Recognition is prominently given for any such sponsorship.
Please print, complete, and return the Exhibitor Reservation Form (available at latesol.org) with your check (made payable to LaTESOL) for $200 per table no later than October 1st, 2008 to the address below. When your check is received, confirmation notice and additional information will be sent to you or the representative you designate.
